I entered into the tech world in the year 1998 when i joined B.Sc. Computer Science program at DAVV, Indore. In 1999 i just connected with the WEB world and it was my dream to start my personal website with my own domain name but at that time it was a costly affair for me.

So, I started my own webpage instead to website over a free web service provider, i still remember the name of the service http://www.webspawner.com/ at that time the URL was so long it was something like http://www.webspawner.com/dir/users/user/~dyadav (don't remember exact URL).

After that i have created lot of webpages on lots of free web services like homestead.com, 1afm.com, Geocities.com and many more.

After that I registered my own domain in the year 2007 with .org extension, I just missed the .com extension by two day :(

I designed many designs for my personal website but every time I was unable to upload the due to some unavoidable reasons.

Finally today on 29th April, 2010 I uploaded my full functional personal website.

Google get more SOCIAL with Gmail BUZZ

Today Google launches a new service over Gmail called Buzz, a social facility tool to get connected with the friends in i-environment. The service is something mix of following popular social network services

1. Twitter
2. Digg
3. Facebook

It provides us to share the information in any format with our friends in live stream format, we can comment on the topic, we can recommended the info and many more stuff, all things are connected with out Gmail account and all the most contacted contacts will automatically get added to the update stream of Gmail Buzz.

The launching may be seen in connection with the recent market of social apps, the working of Buzz has some inputs from the Google Wave also, all the Google Wave users will notice the same.

Now Google trying to establish another landmark in the social apps market. As Orkut is not as such as popular as facebook/myspace and another social app provider with the approch of what are you doing is twitter which supports the micro blogging facility.

So enjoy the new facility in Gmail, one more thing may be you are not seeing the BUZZ link in your Gmail Box, it may take 2-3 days or may be more to roll it out to all users.

Today is the last day of the year 2009. Lots of the things are changed over the period. I also learned lots of things from this year, there are lots of god and bad thing connected with this year.

This year gave me lots of unforgettable gifts ranging from small to big, in this year my dreams comes to true.
Now I want to forget all the bad things connected with the year an I want to see in forward direction, to live, to dream, to enjoy, to grow for my family, for my country, for the nature.

May this new year bring peace to earth smile to every face and success to everyone. May no one sleep without food. May no one live without shelter. May this new year 2010 bring all the happiness in everyone's life.

Airtel started a new facility for Airtel Mobile users to tweet by using sms; facility is available in India to the Bharti(Airtel) users only.

Now you publish your tweets using SMS facility. Following steps are involved in the same:

1. Verify your mobile phone over twitter.com
2. Now signup for the facility by sending 'Signup' to 53000.
3. You are now registered for the text tweets.

Next time what ever you send to 53000 will be published directly to your account; your tweets from field will show from tag as 'txt'.

Microsoft and Yahoo baning porn content in India

Yahoo and Microsoft(Bing) has taken an initiative to stop all the searches related to sex search or porn content in the Indian operation.

The initiative is some how related to Indian Govt. upcoming notification related to porn content over the WWW.

The decision may result in HIT-CUT or market loss, as the 'sex' and 'porn' is the most searched keyword in India.

The users of Yahoo or Bing may switch to another search engine for the same.

After its stupendous success in 2008, Indore Marathon is back again this year in its second edition!. Last year theme was 'Peace', this year the theme is 'Go Green'.

Indore marathon is organized on 2nd October of every year from last year. It is IIM Indore style to celebrate the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. It provides a platform for every Indorians to show their instincts related to Indore and to Indorians.

Google celebrating its 11th birthday on 27th September, 09. Celebration can be seen in Google logo itself, the 'l' in Google logo is doubled to show it like '11'.

There is lots of panga related to the official birth date of Google some says it is the day on which the Google.com domain was registered (15 September 1997), some reports on the day 7th September 1998 they filled for the incorporation papers.

Google is celebrating both days 7th and 27th September :-) But changes its logo on 27th September, accepting it as official date.

To explain the inconsistency, the company’s FAQ once famously read: “Google opened its doors in September 1998. The exact date when we celebrate our birthday has moved around over the years, depending on when people feel like having cake.”

Google Wave : New way to communicate

Today email/chat/social networking website products are on top. But as per the new trends the new burst and option is required to boom up the market and for being in the market.

Microsoft's VINE is already in market for beta test, yesterday finally i got the invitation and downloaded VINE and have some hands on it.

Googles Wave is a product which will provide a rich platform for the communication, which will include today's all technology options viz: mail,chat,social network, documents, news and many more at a single place.

It will provide the facility to communicate, chat, sharing in a single place as well as alerts for the places your interest, feed sharing and many more.

Wave is developed by team of the early acquisition of mapping start-up called Where 2 Tech, which will named and marketed as Google Maps.

They named it as 'walkabout' and finaly Google Wave. Now there will be two product available in market :

Microsoft's VINE
and
Google's WAVE

let see who will capture the market segment, as VINE is already out for beta release, Wave may require couple of weeks.

Vine service is online in May 2009 and open for limited users through beta invitation. As you receive an invitation you can immediately invite and add another users you care most.

The invitation process may take 2 months. So, let us ask for invitation and wait for the functionality.

Vine requires a software download from vine.net it will provided as a dashboard which shows people and places in our network, as or when there is update related to our network including facebook status messages it will be available with dashboard.

SHAGUFTA - Conference Management and Alert System

On 23rd March the pilot alpha testing prototype of the shagufta.org was launched by the founder researcher Prof. Deepak Yadav (me) and Prof. Shagufta Sheikh.

From very long time we were searching a common system which provides us the information related to conferences world wide, we found 1-2 website for the same. But the working was not up to the mark.

Now our institute is organizing a Second National Conference PrCON-2009 on “Strategies of Developing Countries: Opportunities & Challenges" and we are responsible for the communication and for the selection and review process.

Our search for the conference management system was started, which should have following facilities:

Easy UI
Low cost

Again we dont get a better solution according to our need, So Prof. Shagufta Sheikh asked a question why not we have our own system ?

So we decided to develop a common place for the conference managment and for the notification or alert system, you can call it as a conference search engine.

Right now we are in a alpha mode and will move to beta in a month, presently we are having very good records of the conferences and presently hosting a conference PrCON 2009.

Second National Conference PrCON-2009 is using shagufta.org as a submission and review tool.

Indian Institute of Technology, Indore (IIT, Indore) Foundation Stone

On 17th Feb, 2009 (HRD) Minister, Arjun Singh laid the foundation stone of the IIT at Indore.

500 acres of land have been allocated for the institution by the State Government. This new IIT will be mentored by the IIT,Mumbai and will start classes from coming academic session 2009-10.

In the first year there will be three branches of Engineering viz Computer Science, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering having the intake of 40 seats in each branch.

Till the new building at the proposed land will take shape, the IIT, Indore will run in the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore premises.

All the resources of DAVV, Indore khandwa road campus will be shared according to the MoU signed between IIT Mumbai and DAVV, Indore.

After the operation of IIT, Indore, Indore will be the only city in the country having IIM (Indian Institute of Management) and (Indian Institute of Technology) IIT both.

If we talk about states then Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country which has all types of institutions of Higher Education including IIT, IIM, IIIT, NIT, IISER and S.P.A. It also has one Central University and a national level Tribal University.

This new IIT at Indore is part of the 8 new IITs that have been established in the country by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.

The Government of India in its Eleventh Plan has given a major thrust to education. The Central Government has taken several initiatives in respect of new institution building. These include setting up of 30 new Central Universities, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, eight new IITs, seven new Indian Institute of Management (IIMs), five new Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), two new Schools of Planning & Architecture (SPAs), 10 new National Institutes of TEchnology (NITs) and 20 new IIITs. A very high priority has been accorded to the education sector and a ten fold increase has been provided in the budgetary outlays for the higher education during the XIth Plan as compared to Xth Plan.

Yahoo Classic Mail with Lite Chat and SMS Faclity

Most awaited feature by the Yahoo finally touches the land, yeah I am talking about the chat facility into the Yahoo Classic Mail, As we people know after the Gmail's Lite chat(Chating facility with our contacts right from the browser without installing any software or messenger sort of thing) all other email service provider started to have lite chat facility.

Yahoo started it some months back but, the facility was limited to the users who were using Yahoo advance version a OutLook style AJAX version with TAB browing and many more.

Now, finally Yahoo relases(see above pic) this facility for all the user who are using Yahoo Classic and having IE 6.0 or above, Mozilla 2 or above.

In India it also provieds the free SMS facility right from the browser.

Multiple INBOXed Gmail

Google releases new lab feature Multiple Inbox; the name is some how confusing, which means you can have multiple inboxes from different mail account.

It is not actually like that, It provides the facility to divide the screen into 4 part, in which 1st part shows the main Inbox view and in another 3 windows, you can have view of mails which satisfied a condition like "started", "read" or anything else, like different labeled mails could be seen in the another windows, it actually provides the facility to SPLIT the main mail screen into different part like in MS-Word we have "Split Screen" facility.

You can see this feature as an answer of the Yahoo's and Rediff's multiple tabbed mail solution.

So, Just get ENABLE it in the LAB for testing this Multiple Inbox.

Offline Gmail - Rival of Microsoft Outlook

On 29th Jan Google lunches a new lab facility, It is the OFFLINE GMAIL yeah means now you can have access to your Gmail account even after you are in diconnected mode or no internet connection is available.

The facility is powered by Google Gears, it caches the all content of Gmail to our hard drive and make it available when no internet connection is available, aal the mail sent during offline mode will be saved in outbox for further mailing you can operate the Gmail as usual with all basic facilities like label and star. Follow the following steps for starting the offline Gmail:

1. Click Settings and click the Labs tab.
2. Select Enable next to Offline Gmail.
3. Click Save Changes.
4. After your browser reloads, you'll see a new "Offline0.1" link in the upper righthand corner of your account, next to your username. Click this link to start the offline set up process and download Gears if you don't already have it.

Googles' SearchWiki : A new way to organize your search result.

I don't know the exact date but I think 2-3 days back (17th Dec or 15th Dec 2008) Google added new feature to the personalized search, you can promote or remove the selected result from result page for the particular query, so next time if you or any body else searches for the same query your recommendation will be seen to him with your Google account. For more info just have look on the below image:

By this facility you can manage your result as per your requirement, if something to the query is not listed, you can add ‘your site/content ’manually to the google base.
Finally Google adopted the most awaited feature, yeah it the ability to add/remove result, by introducing this facility now Google also comes into the race of man-feeded or human supported search engine, which means now result will not be displayed on the basis of RANK and KEYWORD, but on the basis of the relevance, which could be decided by the user.

ORKUT update: No need to login at ORKUT for new scrap.

Today Dec 17, 2008 Google added a new facility to the Orkut, it helps the Orkuters who got lots of scraps in a single day.

Now the scrap message is a part of your ORKUT NOTIFICATION mail, it will be appended into the notification mail with the senders photo. For more visual example please check the image below. Now for checking your scraps at orkut there is no need to click on view your scrapbook link.

SMS Chat Google Lab Feature

Finally today Google Inc., again released the most awaited service SMS Chat, which was taken back few day back due to the some bugs in the same.

The feature currently available in the Google Labs only, which means you have to activate it in the LAB section of your account, and as you may be aware Lab feature can be used in the IE 7.0 or in Mozilla 3.0 above.

But the waiting time for Indian client is still on, cause the service supports only US numbers, let see when it will be open for Indian and rest of world.

I am trying to write from last four days on the Mumbai Terrorist Attack but what should I write; I am word less on the Mumbai attack. Finally it is over after 60 hours, started on 26th Nov, 2008. The terrorists got what they had come up to here for. The valiant, chivalrous, dazzling, proficient NSG(National Security Guard) commandos, Indian army, ATS and Mumbai Police fought for the motherland, for my Hindustan. The cowards have met their providence, and so will their masters, soon.

I salute to all BRAVE soldiers of INDIAN Army, Mumbai Police, NSG and ATS.

What the hell the terrorist wanted? Why they are taking the revenge with the innocent people? What they wanted to show?

We are liberal but it does not shows we are scare kind of country. If you people have any problem with the operations of any country related to caste/politics/creed/religion, let them launch in the open world for discussion, let you people include yourself in the main stream by fighting elections, by running special programs and forum or discussing the issues in the media.

Why you are killing the very amazing creature of the world, the humans. For your so called holy mission, if you are fighting for the same, means your mission is :
Demolish the human kind from the mother earth?
If fighting is the only solution, why you are attacking like coward just face the war against us, we will reply you people.

All the above said things are for the people I don’t know. Now I want to talk with you people, my bother/sister, the Indians. How should be react to those events, by just watching the news channel for 24 hours, by setting flag-waver ring tones/hello tunes of our phones.

I am having some unanswered questions in my mind, could you my brother/sister give answer of the same:

1. What our intelligence agencies were doing?
2. What our government doing?
3. What we are doing?
4. What should be the behavior of our MEDIA (print/web/electronic) on this type of behavior?
5. Why we forgot this type of events after some time and say we are lively?
6. What should our duties to our mother land?
7. Let us blame to whom for this?

The media agencies are using following lines:

1. There is no effect of attack on Indian economy.
2. There is no effect of attack on out sourcing.
3. There is no effect of attack on tourism.
4. There is no effect of attack on stock market.
5. There is no effect of attack on FDI.
6. There is no effect of attack on Indian’s world wide image.

Could they answer HOW it will not impinge on?

I am not saying you should go in battle field and fight but we should have some sense of responsibility. Finally again I salute to all BRAVE soldiers of INDIAN Army, Mumbai Police, NSG and ATS.

Masala (spice) Gmail !!

Before four day back, I was informed about the new feature launched by Gmail, that is the COLOR up your INBOX with many different theme available , currently the number is fixed to 30 only.

As Google always do the things in different manner, again it did the things as like only, the theme does not only provide the coloring option like red blue etc, but it gives you the full independence for the selection of the design behavior look by releasing 30 different themes.

Yeah, now you can send SMS messages to your friend during your chats, right from your Gmail Chat, Google decided to add this facility to Gmail chat, now you'll behaving a new option in 'SEND SMS' in your right click dialog box of friends' list.

As being the hobbiest blogger, somehow i have my eyes on some leading gaints for the technology updates, all these information I found on the Gmail Lab section.

But due to some bugs, Google rolled out these feature and decided to luanch it after 2 weeks means near 15th Nov,2008 so wait and watch for the revolution.

Some changes into Orkut :Orkut powered by Google

Today I just logged into my Google account for checking the new scraps and mails. I was wondered that Google changed the UI and text material of the SCRAP NOTIFICATION mail, previously we are having a notification mail in plain text with some HTML links. The URL fully displayed into the mail, like http://www.orkut.co.in/Scrapbook?uid=1############1.

From today onwards Google changed the way, like now all the plain text is gone now we'll be having HTML links in the form of TEXT links, A new background(as of old ORKUT) colour will be displayed in all mails, at the left corner an Orkut logo will be displayed and just next to that means at the right corner a GOOGLE logo will be appreas, saying powered by Google.Please have a look on the below image:

Some other changes are also made by Google in last month, like the URL display of orkut, previously asll the URL was simply:
http://www.orkut.co.in/Scrapbook?uid=1############1,
now there is new entities is added, which will accpet the URL s parameter(as I think), now URL in the address bar are displayed something like,
http://www.orkut.co.in/Main#Scrapbook?uid=1############1

I dont know why these changes are made for security reasons, for stoping mass scrap sending or for stoping scrap to all facilities provided by other thrid party websities.

Pan-Indore Marathon 2008

Now it looks like dreams comes true, as all of you know Indore also know as mini Bombay(Mumbai) is upcoming metro city of the India, now it have big malls, townships, city bus now Indore will be having its own Pan-Indore Marathon conceptualized by students of IIM(Indian Institute of Management), Indore.

The marathon will consist of The Peace Run and The Celebratory Run. The Peace Run will be 10 kms in length, whereas the Celebratory Run will be 3 km long. The Peace Run will take a 10 kms route, long enough for serious runners to compete and amateur for participants to challenge themselves. The Celebratory Run, a 3 kms run allows everyone in Indore to show their support for the cause.

Celebratory Run: 3 Kms.
Eligibility: Born before October 2nd, 1996

Peace Run: 10 Kms.
Eligibility: Born before October 2nd, 1992

FeedBurner Error

From last few months I am thinking to have a FeedBurner account for my blog, but as I am not a frequent blogger, so I droped the idea, but today I decided to have the one.

I signed up the FeedBurner by using my Google Account, it works (:-) FeedBurner is now Google service).

I got my FeedBurner URL as
http://feeds.feedburner.com/deepaksyadav

as being my hobby to play with the URLs by applying some injections into the same, I tried lot of things, finally I decided to see what happen if no ID is passed to the URL so I typed:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/

and expected to see the homepage for Feed or a welcome page, but I got the HTTP Status 400 error generated by Apache Tomcat/5.0.28, bang quite interesting, see the pic(below).

Jaiku is Back

Long lsting wait of jaiku after the aquition is ends with the relaunch of jaiku by Google. But still there is some barrier, the service currently under test, new user can only sign up with the invitation only.

Let see when it opens the door for every one.

Google is ready to LAUNCH Jaiku on Google App Engine. Jaiku is a social networking, micro-blogging and lifestreaming service comparable to Twitter. Jaiku was founded in February 2006 by Jyri Engeström[2] and Petteri Koponen from Finland and launched in July of that year. It was purchased by Google on October 9, 2007.It was down from very long time just after the acquisition by Google. Users thinking that the Google forgot the service. Presently it is showing the message:

Folks, we're offline for the weekend for server maintenance.Now's a good time to talk to someone you love.

Now, it is time to DANCE. But it has taken so long period to start as Twitter is the only near and dear rival of jaiku so it given chance to tiwiter to EXPLORE the possibilities.....

But I think there is very short time remaing when we'll see new jaiku, may be services will be changed aur not, but now it will be powered by Google backbone, which give us more relability an security.

Orkut SandBox : The first look

Today I got the access to Orkut Sandbox, I tried lot of flicks-and-clicks with the functionality of the Sandbox. When you got access to sand box you have to login using http://sandbox.orkut.com/, when you have successful login you will see your profile page with one extra link "applications" at the left side.

When you click on the application link, you will be provided with application directory page. Where you can find some applications. ( see below image)

Now you can add selected application with your profile, I deployed Funny Cat Photos application.

Sandbox provides same facility like facebook application add-ins. Now I am waiting for the developer release of OpenSocial by Google.

Open Social : The way of connecting Orkut, MySpace, Ning.....

From tomorrow I am hearing lot of voices regarding the OpenSocial a collection of APIs for building the applications for social networking websites like Orkut, MySPace, Ning ....from house of Google. Today on the release date I signed up for the first devloper account of SANDBOX, lets see when I got the keys of the same.

I also saw some live examples of the sandbox over the websites.
