I was just checking the dashboard of the blogger and find an interesting feature mail to blog, by which I can post or write blog by sending an email (text and images up to 10 MB) to my blogger address.

This blog is posted by the same feature. Wow !

SHAGUFTA - Conference Management and Alert System

On 23rd March the pilot alpha testing prototype of the shagufta.org was launched by the founder researcher Prof. Deepak Yadav (me) and Prof. Shagufta Sheikh.

From very long time we were searching a common system which provides us the information related to conferences world wide, we found 1-2 website for the same. But the working was not up to the mark.

Now our institute is organizing a Second National Conference PrCON-2009 on “Strategies of Developing Countries: Opportunities & Challenges" and we are responsible for the communication and for the selection and review process.

Our search for the conference management system was started, which should have following facilities:

• Easy UI
• Low cost

Again we dont get a better solution according to our need, So Prof. Shagufta Sheikh asked a question why not we have our own system ?

So we decided to develop a common place for the conference managment and for the notification or alert system, you can call it as a conference search engine.

Right now we are in a alpha mode and will move to beta in a month, presently we are having very good records of the conferences and presently hosting a conference PrCON 2009.

Second National Conference PrCON-2009 is using shagufta.org as a submission and review tool.

Google Ventures - Google's NEW venture

On March 30th, 2009 Google announces a new Google Venture - GOOGLE VENTURES a venture capital fund. It was awaited from very long time.


The fund is started by Rich Miner and Bill Maris, Managing Partners, Google Ventures.They are ready to invest in any sector/field from seed capital to tens of millions of dollars as per need.

They will ready to fund with other firms in partnership as well as there is no need to use Google's own propriety technology/product.

A.R. Rahman JAI HO ! : Oscar and Indian Film Industry

On Feb 23, 2009, The 81st Annual Academy Awards are announced in different category. In the Indian film history first time we got the awards in individual category by A.R. Rahman. The movie is based on an Indian slum life.

First of all JAI HO (Salute) to A.R. Rahman and Gulzar for getting the historical success and for winning the FIRST EVER academy award i.e. Oscar.


Because the SlumDog is not an INDIAN movie, it is a BRITISH drama film directed and produced by foreigners. All the award goes to them NOT to us. We all are celebreating the sucess of the film in the Oscar Award Ceremony. We as an Indian can celebrate only 3 sucesses

in Documentary Short category is Smile Pinki by Megan Mylan
Again the moive is based on the IndianLife but the moive was produced by Megan Mylan which again not an Indian, so award again goes to foreigner.

Pinki, a girl in rural India whose cleft lip has made her a social outcast, has a chance for a new life when she meets a dedicated social worker.

It is good all the Indian Life based movie got short listed and won the award but all the award goes to foreigners not to Indian accpet AR and Gul.

It is OKEY weare trying to get the OSCAR, but no body can judge anybody untill unless he /she know each and every thing of other so HOW can we say OSCAR is the BIGGEST award for US.

As after March 30, 2009 Yahoo Briefcase will not be accessible, and as being very old users of WEB(1998) I was addicted to all those services from there launching, I tested many project/product of all website (wiz Yahoo/Google/Lycos/Hotmail etc), I am using Yahoo from very long time(1998) as well as the Briefcase service of the same.

Indian Institute of Technology, Indore (IIT, Indore) Foundation Stone

On 17th Feb, 2009 (HRD) Minister, Arjun Singh laid the foundation stone of the IIT at Indore.

500 acres of land have been allocated for the institution by the State Government. This new IIT will be mentored by the IIT,Mumbai and will start classes from coming academic session 2009-10.

In the first year there will be three branches of Engineering viz Computer Science, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering having the intake of 40 seats in each branch.

Till the new building at the proposed land will take shape, the IIT, Indore will run in the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore premises.

All the resources of DAVV, Indore khandwa road campus will be shared according to the MoU signed between IIT Mumbai and DAVV, Indore.

After the operation of IIT, Indore, Indore will be the only city in the country having IIM (Indian Institute of Management) and (Indian Institute of Technology) IIT both.

If we talk about states then Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country which has all types of institutions of Higher Education including IIT, IIM, IIIT, NIT, IISER and S.P.A. It also has one Central University and a national level Tribal University.

This new IIT at Indore is part of the 8 new IITs that have been established in the country by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.

The Government of India in its Eleventh Plan has given a major thrust to education. The Central Government has taken several initiatives in respect of new institution building. These include setting up of 30 new Central Universities, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, eight new IITs, seven new Indian Institute of Management (IIMs), five new Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), two new Schools of Planning & Architecture (SPAs), 10 new National Institutes of TEchnology (NITs) and 20 new IIITs. A very high priority has been accorded to the education sector and a ten fold increase has been provided in the budgetary outlays for the higher education during the XIth Plan as compared to Xth Plan.

Yahoo Classic Mail with Lite Chat and SMS Faclity

Most awaited feature by the Yahoo finally touches the land, yeah I am talking about the chat facility into the Yahoo Classic Mail, As we people know after the Gmail's Lite chat(Chating facility with our contacts right from the browser without installing any software or messenger sort of thing) all other email service provider started to have lite chat facility.

Yahoo started it some months back but, the facility was limited to the users who were using Yahoo advance version a OutLook style AJAX version with TAB browing and many more.

Now, finally Yahoo relases(see above pic) this facility for all the user who are using Yahoo Classic and having IE 6.0 or above, Mozilla 2 or above.

In India it also provieds the free SMS facility right from the browser.
